Ayer, por fin fui a ver la nueva película de los Juegos del Hambre. La verdad es que tenía muchas ganas y después de haber leído los libros de la saga de
Suzanne Collins, tengo que decir que la historia es bastante fiel aunque se echa de menos alguna escena.
Yesterday, I finally went to watch the new film of The Hunger Games. I was willing to go, even more after having read the Suzanne Collins books which story is really well adapted to the cinema although I have missed some scenes.
Como fan, salí contenta del cine pero como amante de la moda, estuve con los ojos como platos durante gran parte de la película y es que el vestuario es de Oscar, veremos que sucede cuando salgan a la luz los nominados.
As a trilogy follower, I was happy with the film but as a fashion lover I was absolutely astonished most of the time with the amazing costumes which, form my point of vue, deserve the Oscar. We will have to wait for it.

Trish Summerville ha sido la encargada de materializar con gran acierto el ostentoso y chocante look de los habitantes del Capitolio y de dar vida a las ideas de la escritora, quien había creado unas altas expectativas para el vestuario de la protagonista, Jennifer Lawrence; sin embargo, Trish ha sabido defenderse muy bien ante este reto.
Trish Summerville has been the person in charge of making up the Capitolio looks out from the writer ideas and she has really suceed on it, even with Jennifer Lawrence dresses which were expected to be amazing following the book description and they actually are thanks to Trish.
De todos modos, ningún personaje es más digno de mención en cuanto a su aspecto que Effie Trinket y por eso me quiero centrar en ella. Verla, era como estar ante un desfile de Alexander McQueen y no es casualidad, la diseñadora que trabajo con él, le ha querido rendir homenaje. Pura teatralidad integrada dentro de su personalidad. El maquillaje, peluca, zapatos imposibles y demás accesorios acompañan en la función y todo es perfectamente como debía ser, sin caer en el disfraz ( lo cual me temía antes de ver el filme).
Anyway, the most important character to talk about concerning her look is Effie Trinket and that's why I am focusing on her. Watching her was like assisting to a McQueen's catwalk and not it's not by chance, the costume designer had worked with him and wanted to make a hommage to the creator. Pure theatricality matching with her mood. Make-up, wigs, imposible shoes and the rest of the accesories are acting for a complete result which is far from the disguise that I was expecting before watching it.

Paperself, fabulosas creaciones perfectas para completar el maquillaje. Por cierto,
Ve Neill ha hecho un trabajo espectacular en este aspecto y algunas ideas no pueden ser más tendencia, como los labios bicolor, propuesta de pasarela para este Otoño-Invierno 2013-2014.
Special mention goes for the false lashes from Paperself, faboulous creations perfect to complete the make-up. By the way, the make-up artist Ve Neill has really make a good work on it and some ideas couldn't be more in, like the bi-color lips showed on various Autumn-Winter 2013-2014 catwalks.

Las imágenes hablan por si solas, Trish Summerville se encargó de supervisar hasta el último detalle del aspecto de los personajes y lo ha hecho con gran acierto. El vestuario de En Llamas supera con creces a su antecesora Los Juegos del Hambre. De hecho ha inspirado la colección Capitol Couture firmada por Summerville a la venta en
Net-a-Porter; interesante, pero nada que ver con el despliegue de alta costura que nos muestra Effie.
Si queréis verlo mejor, ¡no os perdáis la película! Desde el viernes 22 de Noviembre en cines.

Actually, it has inspired the collection Capitol Couture signed by Sumerville, on sale at Net-a-Porter; interesting but, nothing to do with the Effie's haute couture closet.
